The Rainbow Garden is continuing to grow and has become a welcome site for the community.  Please come in and take a closer look!  We now have a waterproof bag on the gate with a binder containing a log book, calendar, and a few educational materials.  Please sign the log when you visit the garden! 

This garden, build by The Organic Pantry Project (TOPP) with strong support by the Children’s Ministry, is an organic community garden where all the produce harvested is donated to the Northfield Food Pantry.  We have designed the garden as a “single plot” garden where all are welcome to help garden communally, regardless of age, experience, or church membership.  We welcome the community to join us!

The Sunday school children planted the garden on June 6 and began harvesting on June 20 and the Northfield Food Pantry has been very excited by our donations.  We typically be harvest on Sunday mornings and on Thursdays and will deliver to the Northfield Food Pantry on Mondays and Thursdays or Fridays.  Let us know if you are interested in helping to harvest or deliver!

We have a science project in our garden as well.  Ask us what it's all about.

If you are interested in helping our garden grow, please let us know.  We are looking for:
* volunteers to help water, weed, and tend the plants
* material donations including tomato cages, compost, and stakes
* financial contributions (please make checks payable to GCC with "Community Garden" in the memo)
