Parking

GCC has lots of parking available for all visitors! The main parking lot is the West Lot, which is most easily accessed via Glenview Road. This is the best place to park to attend worship services or other events in the Sanctuary, Commons, or gym, or to visit the New To You shop, which can be easily accessed through the West Entrance. There are also a limited number of street parking spaces on Glenview Road for overflow parking.

Additionally, we have a smaller parking lot on the north side of the building. This is also located within easy walking distance of the West Entrance, and is the nearest parking available for the Church Office entrance.

If you are being dropped off at GCC, you are welcome to use the circular driveway off of Elm Street, which leads to the main Narthex/Sanctuary Lobby. The main East Entrance has stairs, but there is also a ramp to Door C just to the right of the front steps that has an elevator up to the sanctuary lobby. Alternatively, many members are dropped off at the West Entrance so that the person driving them can then park in the West Lot. There are no parking spaces in the circular driveway or on Elm Street.

accessibility

GCC seeks to be inclusive and supportive of all people. Of the main church entrances, the West and East Entrances both have elevators available, while only Doors A and G co-located on the north side of the building (for the Church Office and Nursery School) require stairs without having elevator access. The West Entrance elevator has access to the main floor level (Sanctuary, Chapel, Commons) as well as the basement level (Community Room, New To You, gym). The East Entrance elevator has access to the Narthex Balcony, upper floor level (classrooms and offices), Sanctuary, main floor level (Commons, Church Office level), and basement (Community Room, Youth Room).

Our building has bathroom facilities on each floor, all of which contain a larger handicap-accessible stall. There is also a gender-neutral family bathroom available near the Chapel/Commons in the Transept Lobby (the West Entrance side) as well as one near the Narthex Balcony on the upper floor.

For those attending events in the Sanctuary, GCC has audio units available that connect directly to the Sanctuary sound system. Please inquire with about these with our ushers in the Narthex (East) Lobby!

Large-print materials are readily available for GCC events, such as our regular Sunday worship services.

Navigating our building

Over the years, our building has grown and changed through expansions and renovations. While this increased space and greater building accessibility has allowed us to better serve our congregation and community, we recognize that it can also make our building a bit confusing to navigate as a visitor.

If you are unsure where to go in our building, we recommend that you start with the Church Office. Our staff would be happy to assist you, and are generally in the office between 8:30 and 4:30 on weekdays. The Church Office is located on the north side of the building near the playground and smaller parking lot. From the north side of the building, enter through Door A, go up half a flight of stairs, and the office will be on your left. If you need an elevator, the easiest way to enter will be through Door F, the West Entrance, and take the elevator up one level. From there, you will go past the chapel and through the Commons, turning left at the far end of the Commons and proceeding to the end of the hallway to get to the office.

As a general guide, rooms with single/double digit numbers are on the lower level. Rooms with numbers in the 100s are on the main floor (at/slightly above street level). Rooms with numbers in the 200s are on the upper floor.
