The mission of the Men’s Ministry is to provide men at the GCC with opportunities for service to the community, personal and spiritual growth and fellowship among its members. By drawing upon the collective experience, diversity and enthusiasm of the membership, the Men’s Ministry sponsors initiatives that serve our church and community, strengthen intergenerational ties within our congregation and foster a deeper commitment to our faith through personal discovery and fellowship. Founded in the summer of 2006, the group provides opportunities for serving God in the following areas:
- Serving Glenview Community Church
- Serving the wider community
- Social outreach
- Personal growth and fellowship
While our projects are primarily staffed with members of the Men’s Ministry, we welcome other GCC members and friends as well. Many of our service projects are structured so that youth 7th grade and older can participate as well.
The Women’s Association
The Women’s Association brings together women in a fellowship of worship, education and engagement in the life of the church, as it serves God in the community and throughout the world. The Association is comprised of 9 chapters, small groups of women ranging from 13 – 37 members. Each chapter chooses its own meeting schedule, program of educational and social events, and service projects it wishes to pursue.
The various chapters are creative in ways for women to socialize, while serving those in need within and outside of the GCC community. Activity examples include: packing days at Feed My Starving Children, the series of Myra Loris historical lectures, scheduled luncheons, support of charitable organizations through clothing drives, school supplies collections, Christmas gift collections, preparation of bag luncheons for the homeless, collection of Dunkin Donuts gift cards for homeless youth, and the knitting ministry.
One of the most impactful ministries of the Women’s Association is the New to You resale shop, located in the church lower level. The store offers on trend, clean, and reasonably-priced clothing and housewares. The shop is managed by Women’s Association members and proceeds from sales in 2018 funded substantial contributions to 13 local non-profits working on issues of homelessness, youth services, early childhood education, senior services, and food shortage.

A Women’s Retreat is offered annually offsite for either one or two days. The retreat is a time for women of GCC to be together for inspiration, relaxation, spiritual growth and lots of fun.
Called to Care
Called to Care is a group of church members who provide spiritual care and companionship to other church members and friends in acute or chronic need. It offers members the opportunity to serve in a very real way and lets others know that we truly care about them. For more information about Called to Care, please contact Rev.
